A female describes her thoughts to a therapist

How to become a client

To become a client, you can contact our clinic directly without needing a referral from a GP. The process involves an initial phone intake with one of our staff members. After the initial screening, we will match you with one of our intern therapists.

During busy periods, there may be a waitlist until we can find a suitable therapist for you. If, for any reason, we are unable to provide you with a service, we will support you in finding an appropriate referral to another service or therapist outside of our clinic.

Group therapy

A gestalt therapy group meets regularly in a structured format led by a trained therapist or facilitator. The group provides a supportive and interactive environment where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, as well as their patterns of relating to others. The focus is on increasing self-awareness, enhancing personal growth, and developing more satisfying and authentic ways of being in the world.

Gestalt therapy groups provide a space to explore relationships, self-exploration, and personal growth, recognising and expressing feelings, and interpersonal awareness and skill development.  Group members often provide feedback, support, and challenge to each other, fostering a sense of community and shared growth.

Because much of the learning happens as group members interact with each other, therapy groups can be both challenging and growthful.  We recommend that you have experience in individual therapy before you join a therapy group.

All therapy groups offered by ConnectGround are facilitated by experienced gestalt therapists.
